On our tours of Ireland we recommend a visit to the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. See how people lived in Ireland through the ages and how they travelled. With real thatched cottages and old Belfast terraced houses moved on site brick by brick …..you can really feel the atmosphere. There are old school houses and churches , shops and even a pub ! The steam trains and collection of vintage cars have to be seen. There are carriages and trams and even a Dolorean car (remember those). The museum is also home to a fantastic Titanic Exhibition centre. See it all with Ireland Luxury Tours.

The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum is a fantastic day out for all the family. There is so much to see. My son especially loved the Titanic Exhibition. There were also demonstrations of basket making and cooking on an open hearth and the kids loved buying traditional sweets from the corner shop. The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum is very close to Belfast so you should really consider a visit on your tour of Ireland.

Visiting the Folk Park turned out to be a most enjoyable day. Maurice was very friendly to my party and I also. You’ll definitely enjoy the Irish ‘craic’ when you visit the Folk and Transport Museum, be prepared for a good day out!
